Tim has a very diverse international business background. He has lived and worked in many cities across the United States and around the world. Born in Kentucky, his undergraduate education was received at the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University. Following college, he began his business career as a sales training specialist in Norfolk, VA for Nissan Motor Corporation. He rose quickly through the ranks at Nissan in multiple capacities, the last of which was as the Regional Marketing Manager in the Los Angeles zone.
While in that capacity, he was recruited by Dah Chong Hong, one of Nissan’s global distribution partners and became the Assistant to its US-based President, acquiring real estate and investments worldwide. During this period, his fascination with computers and data was kindled and, after closing many millions of dollars in successful investments over several years, he left DCH to pursue the creation of his first software development company.
While working on his new company’s software product, he was recruited to join a startup company that ultimately became Ingram Micro, the world’s largest computer products distributor, as its first VP of Sales and Marketing. After driving that organization to solid initial sales success, he left to focus on the release of his own company’s software product, an automobile database and vehicle leasing system. This system was deployed in multiple auto dealerships in the New York metropolitan area and ultimately sold to his partner’s specialty automotive leasing company for further expansion.
After next assisting several startups in senior sales and marketing roles through their IPO phase, Tim started the Philadelphia sales office for 3Com (the holders of the patent rights for Ethernet), again rapidly rising through various positions to become the Southeastern Manager. In 1991, he purchased the Florida division of one of 3Com’s client companies, Atlanta Technologies, which was supporting NASA’s Space Shuttle payload management system. The company was renamed as The Network Group (TNG) and in 1997, inetUSA was created as the Internet division of TNG. In early 2001, inetUSA created the “One Click Website™”, which has since been used to create and host over 40,000 websites.
Today, Tim lives on a small farm in Florida with his wife, Paula and whichever of their five children shows up for feeding at any given meal. On the farm, he’s happily surrounded by far too many hungry animals (two horses, two dogs, a cat, a finch, twenty chickens, ducks and the occasional sandhill crane and armadillo. He continues to work on the creation of new, exciting ventures such as ATL Information Systems.
